The standout positive of this toy is the level of detail the manufacturer put into it. They really went above what would be necessary to make a decent model toy. For example, there’s a prop rod for the engine cover, and the front and rear wiper arms can move (manually of course). There’s even a colorful operator in the cab. The Excavator shovel actually will ‘dig’, lift, and dump a shovel full of sand, pebbles, or building bricks, just like the ‘real thing’. It will swing the shovel and cab to the right and left, and the whole machine will move and operate just like the ‘real thing’! …And it makes sounds that can be enabled via the remote control. It even has a sound for the engine shutting off. Wild! I think this would be an “OH WOW!” gift for a child about 6 to 10 years old.
